Solyndra CEO joins Energy Secretary Chu, Treasury Secretary Geithner and Clean Tech Execs at White House Event
Washington - September 22, 2009 –Invited by US Treasury Secretary Geithner and Energy Secretary Chu, Solyndra CEO Chris Gronet and nine other clean tech executives participated in a round-table discussion focused on the Section 1603 grant program established in lieu of investment tax credits grants for renewable energy projects. $1B has already been awarded under the program, primarily for wind projects, since the enactment of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. A rooftop project with Solyndra panels in Denver, CO is one of the first PV projects to receive a grant.
